The new special version of the Honda Prelude is distinguished by a rich garnet shade of the body and a burgundy interior – technically, the hybrid coupe has not changed, reports Carscoops.

Honda has released the limited-edition 2027 Prelude in a rich red color with matching interior styling to once again attract the attention of Japanese buyers. Technically, the hybrid coupe remains the same – the changes affected only the appearance.

In September 2025, Honda began selling the Prelude in Japan. As part of the launch, a special ON Limited Edition was available, which featured Moonlit Pearl color, black roof, mirrors and wheels. Less than a year later, in 2027, the company released an even more attractive modification.

The body color is Premium Crystal Garnet Metallic, which was not previously offered on the Prelude. Equipment includes a body-matching grille, red bumper accents (instead of the standard blue), 19-inch machined black clear alloy wheels and red Brembo brake calipers.

The interior also features a special design: the front seats, center console and instrument panel have burgundy inserts, and the remaining surfaces are trimmed in black leather with burgundy contrast stitching. Additionally, the embroidered Prelude logo on the passenger side is red instead of white.

The technical side of the 2027 limited edition remains unchanged, using the same hybrid setup and chassis as the standard Prelude. It is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine and two electric motors that together produce 200 hp. (203 PS) and transmit traction to the front wheels. Honda’s S+Shift system simulates gear changes through variable torque and sound effects, making driving more emotional.
