How much on average costs a new car in Russia

Autostat analysts answered this question: they calculated the price of a machine based on the average values of the cost recommended by the distributor and sales volumes for each model, taking into account its modifications. It turned out that the price over the past year increased by six percent and amounted to 3.12 million rubles. For comparison: five years ago, the car could be purchased for about one and a half million rubles.

According to the statistics that analysts cite, the last five years cars have only valued, and every year more and more. So, in 2020, the weighted average price of a new machine in Russia increased by seven percent, in 2021-by 18 percent, in 2022-by 20 percent, and in 2023-by 24 percent. As a result, since 2019, it doubled – from 1.57 to 3.12 million rubles.

Earlier, the service of new cars was shared by the alternative statistics on the price of the market of new cars. At the same time, in some regions, prices, on the contrary, decreased. It is most noticeable – in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, where cars fell by 10 percent, up to 2.54 million rubles.

It is worth noting that in the first month of the year, a period of calm is traditionally on the car market. In January 2025, the Russians bought 89 thousand new cars, and the first places in popularity are held by Lada, Haval and Cher.
