As Carscoops reports, citing insiders, the new Palisade will be offered in its native South Korea with gasoline engines and a hybrid power plant, but the diesel option has been excluded from the range. The old 3.8-liter petrol V6 also dropped out – it was replaced by a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 unit. In addition, a 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbo engine has been added to the engine lineup.

It is worth noting that the announced engines will be relevant for Asian markets; model specifications for other countries may differ. One way or another, the diesel Palisade is no longer available to Koreans, but they will be offered a 334-horsepower hybrid modification, for which a power reserve of more than a thousand kilometers is stated – insiders claim that the crossover is capable of traveling up to 1020 kilometers.

Hyundai previously acknowledged that customers were dissatisfied with touch controls, so the Palisade retained physical buttons to control climate control and other functions.
