The publication Autoplus.fr has compiled a list of seven-seater cars with a service life of over 300 thousand kilometers. Journalists noted: cars are becoming more and more unaffordable for large families, as prices continue to rise. However, on the secondary market there are well-proven models, the operation of which will not hurt your wallet: one of them is the Dacia Logan MCV (Lada Largus).
The Dacia Logan MCV debuted in 2006 and evolved into the Lada Largus six years later. French journalists advise choosing 1.6-liter naturally aspirated petrol engines: they can be more unpretentious than diesels and just as economical as 1.4 engines. The station wagon is a leader in its class in terms of load capacity and useful trunk volume; the model has a simple design with a minimum of electronics.

An alternative could be the second generation Ford Galaxy with a 2.2-liter PSA diesel engine. This option is devoid of the “childhood diseases” of the more compact 1.8 and 2.0 engines, while the station wagon offers a spacious seven-seater interior. You shouldn’t overpay for versions with sports packages: they lose a lot in comfort. Also, the French publication does not advise buying early cars: design problems are often corrected during the life cycle.
Without being specific about the models, the French remembered reliable turbodiesels: the 1.6 HDi engines of the Peugeot-Citroen concern and the 1.9 TDi engines of the Volkswagen group in modifications up to 100 horsepower are very resourceful and free of problems. The first one was installed on the Peugeot Partner/Citroen Berlingo, and the second one on the Volkswagen Sharan/SEAT Alhambra.
