In Kazakhstan, Chery Tiggo 9 is 37% cheaper than in Russia

In the Republic of Kazakhstan, a new Chery Tiggo 9 can be purchased for 16 million tenge, which at the current exchange rate is about 2.7 million Russian rubles, Motor magazine noted while monitoring the price lists of auto companies.

This is what dealers in Kazakhstan ask for a 2025 car, excluding discounts. For this money, the all-wheel drive Tiggo 9 is offered with a 245-horsepower 2.0-liter turbo engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission as standard in the Ultra trim.

In the Russian Federation, Chery Tiggo 9 in a similar basic “Prime” configuration is offered for 4.3 million rubles. Despite the difference in names, both versions of the crossover are equipped virtually identically.

Chery’s official Russian price list states that this is the recommended maximum resale price in rubles for cars manufactured in 2025. Thus, the difference between cars in the EAEU member countries reaches 1.6 million rubles or 37%.

The maximum version of Chery Tiggo 9 in the Flagship configuration in Kazakhstan costs 17 million tenge (about 2.8 million rubles), in Russia a car in a similar “Ultra” version will cost 4.6 million rubles, the difference is 1.8 million rubles (39%).

Sales of the flagship crossover Chery Tiggo 9 in Russia started on December 17, 2024. The car is built on the T2X modular platform.

In June 2025, six months after the start of sales in China, Chery Tiggo 9 appeared on the Russian market.
