According to experts, in February 2025, Russians purchased used cars at a significantly lower price than a year earlier. The average cost of a mileage machine decreased from 1.3 to 1.1 million rubles, which demonstrates a noticeable drop in prices on the country’s secondary car market. The greatest reduction in prices is recorded in popular models of foreign manufacturers.

In Russia, the average cost of mileage cars showed a significant decrease compared to last year. A particularly noticeable price drop is observed in models such as Toyota Vista, where the decrease was 45 percent, Hyundai Sonata – 24 percent, BMW X5 – 22 percent and Hyundai Elantra – 20 percent.

An analysis of the age structure of the fleet shows that the average age of cars in Russia reached 15.5 years. However, in some regions there is a return trend, for example, in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, new cars fell by 10 percent, up to 2.54 million rubles.
