In Russia, any kind of advertising on road signs will be banned

The government of the country instructed the regional authorities to conduct an audit of compliance with the legislation on advertising on road signs. The events will be attended by employees of the Federal Antimonopoly Service. Experts have already sent information about which advertising can be recognized as illegal. At the same time, State Duma deputies believe that it is necessary to prohibit any kind of commercial ads.

Within the framework of a large -scale campaign, specialists will check road signs located on regional, inter -municipal routes, as well as on local roads.

According to the law “On Advertising”, any distribution of commercial information on road signs, their supports and devices for regulating road traffic is prohibited. At the same time, information about parking, stations, airports and medical institutions can be posted on road signs. In addition, advertising of roadside hotels, as well as sports and tourist facilities, is not prohibited.

Among the information there should not be a logo or company name. It is allowed to place only the profile of the company and the direction of movement to the desired address. However, today on road signs they often advertise services using prohibited methods.
