The representative of AvtoVAZ confirmed that the prototype Lada ISKRA corresponds to serial sedans and is not expected to be exterminated on the exterior. The sedan will appear first on sale: it is waiting for dealers in early summer. After about a month, the ruler will be replenished with a station wagon, in a month they will begin to supply cross-versions.

The first thing to check was the real Lada ISKRA clearance. The plant claims that the road clearance is 170 millimeters, and this is true: under the protection of the engine “honest” 16-17 centimeters. In front of the front wheels are plastic overlays, at the back there are sprayers, and in the arches, whole felt shells. But the rear arches are not protected so well.

The niches of the rear wheels are not completely closed, there is a recess in front of the wheel where snow or ice can accumulate. Only the zone behind the wheel is completely closed. But the shelters are modern: they are attached to clips and made of soft villous material. The head of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, promised that the starting price of Lada ISKRA will be 1.2-1.3 million rubles. Production starts on April 19, by the end of May the dealers will saturate with cars, and customers will be able to get acquainted with the novelty in the summer, although the full range of modifications can be in salons only by the fall.
