Lada Niva Travel deprived of off-road version

AvtoVAZ has updated the price lists of one of its SUVs. In addition to the increase in price, which is explained by the return to Niva Travel [подушек безопасности](https://motor.ru/news/lada-niva-airbags-07-12-2024.htm) and ERA-GLONASS, there is one more change. As noted by the Lada Online portal, Comfort Off-Road, the last of the two off-road versions that remained in the Niva’s assortment, disappeared from the list of configurations available for order.

In November, the version of Comfort Off-Road’24 was still present in the price lists of Lada Niva Travel. For such an SUV they asked 1,441,000 rubles. For comparison: the regular Comfort is priced at 1,408,000. The off-road version featured a black plastic body kit, black headliner and off-road tires.

At the time of its appearance in 2021, there were two versions with the Off-Road prefix – Comfort Off-Road and Luxe Off-Road. Then they cost 844,900 and 905,900 rubles, respectively. In the summer of 2022, the “luxury” version was excluded from the range. Comfort Off-Road remained, but in the spring of 2024 it lost the snorkel, which was originally on the equipment list.

Thus, Niva Travel is now available in five versions: Classic, Comfort, Luxe, [BLACK] and KHL. The price starts from 1,334,000 rubles and reaches 1,639,000 rubles for a “hockey” SUV.

The engine in all versions is the same – a 1.7-liter naturally aspirated engine with 83 horsepower. However, next year AvtoVAZ will add a 1.8-liter eight-valve engine with 90 horsepower to both Nivas. Niva Travel will receive it first, and then the classic Niva Legend.
