In the first three months of 2026, 1,122 new Lexus cars were registered in Russia. This is 2.2 times (+118%) higher than the figure for January-March last year (515 units), the head of Avtostat, Sergei Tselikov, said in his Telegram channel.
The main engine of growth is the RX model. This crossover was chosen by 682 buyers, which is more than 60% of the brand’s total volume. Sales of the model immediately soared 4 times (+301%), the expert said.
The flagship SUV LX is not far behind: it occupied another quarter of the brand’s market (282 vehicles). Sales of other models of the family (sedans, other crossovers) remain insignificant.
An interesting detail of the statistics was the origin of the cars. Despite concerns, the share of Chinese-assembled cars turned out to be small – only 13%. The vast majority of registered Lexus (87%) are of Japanese origin.
However, the import routes for new cars vary. Analysts note that the main transit hub for new Lexus today is Kyrgyzstan. The largest flow of cars to the Russian Federation passes through this country, bypassing traditional logistics chains.
