The long-wheelbase production version of the all-electric GLC EV will debut at the Beijing Auto Show. The appearance of the GLC EV is made in the spirit of the new Mercedes corporate strategy. The giant grille at the front is equipped with 942 LED pixels, the pattern of which can be programmed.
The main difference between the crossover for China and the previously debuted version for the global market is the wheelbase, stretched to 3027 mm. This makes the new electric crossover one of the most spacious in its class. The body length is 4949 mm.
The car is equipped with new matrix LED optics; in the front of the electric car there is an additional trunk with a capacity of 128 liters. The equipment will also include a multi-section panoramic roof with the ability to darken.
Inside there is a media system with a 39.1-inch diagonal screen, which combines a digital instrument cluster, as well as two displays. There is also a projection screen. The front seats are equipped with heating, ventilation and pneumatic massage. The list of equipment includes wireless charging for smartphones and a premium Burmester audio system. The electric crossover will also boast advanced driver assistance systems on the highway and in the city.

The GLC EV is built on a new platform with 800-volt architecture. All-wheel drive is implemented by two electric motors: the front one produces 219 hp, the rear one produces 402 hp. The total power of the power plant is 621 hp; a two-stage gearbox is used on the rear axle.
The traction lithium-ion battery provides a range of 680 to 703 km, depending on the version. Sales of new items in China will begin in the summer.
