Mercedes Unimog will celebrate its 80th anniversary with the release of a show car

The new product is based on a modification of the Unimog U 4023 – with all-wheel drive, all differential locks and a proprietary frame. But instead of a modest turbodiesel, the car was equipped with a truck, but also a diesel 6-cylinder engine with a power of 300 hp. Its volume is an impressive 7.7 liters.

Let’s say right away: if the public perceives this concept favorably, the Mercedes Unimog division will be able to launch the production of luxury all-terrain vehicles for connoisseurs of comfortable off-road forays.

As for the show car itself, it tried on matte paint, special 20-inch wheels, a set of external lighting and a video camera system instead of traditional rear-view mirrors.

The interior now features contour lighting, leather trim and other luxury features. So it’s even a pity that the manufacturer’s press service decided not to publish photos of the interior, limiting itself to shots of the exterior.
