Moscow will order road signs for 8.8 billion rubles

The authorities began to look for a contractor who organizes the production of signs in the city, writes Kommersant. Moscow undertakes to purchase about 1.45 million road signs and their components, such as fasteners. Applications are accepted until June 20. Such a large competition is announced for the first time, the newspaper notes: earlier the capital purchased signs with relatively small batches.

In 2022, the metropolitan center of traffic organization (SCD) entered into contracts for the supply of signs for 358 million and 432 million rubles with the North Caucasus Plant of Metal structures (Krasnodar Territory) and Stroy Invest Project. And in 2023, 150 million signs were purchased from the Samara company Strod Service.

At the same time, four manufacturers of road signs work in the capital – “Sign”, “Prime Media”, “PC Bestmash” and “Alliance”. Within the framework of the new contract, they can be modernized, or a new enterprise will be built.
