In the coming year, several interesting new products should enter the Russian market, and the flagships of the domestic automobile industry – AvtoVAZ, GAZ and UAZ – will produce the main premieres. The Lada Azimut crossover is based on the platform on which the Lada Vesta is built, but for the future flagship, Togliatti engineers created almost a thousand original components and parts, including body panels, lighting equipment and interior elements.

The engine line will include engines of 1.6 and 1.8 liters – their output has been increased to 120 and 132 horsepower, respectively. In the future, Azimut may receive a new turbo engine with a capacity of 150 horsepower. But the drive will be exclusively front-wheel drive…

The Soviet brand Volga should be revived in the new year. Moreover, the cars managed to receive Vehicle Type Approval (VTA)! This means that the manufacturer, the Nizhny Novgorod Passenger Cars company, can begin sales.

Nizhny Novgorod Passenger Cars rents a conveyor belt on the territory of the Gorky Automobile Plant (Volkswagen and Skoda models were previously made there). If you believe OTTS, then the future Volga will be based on the Chinese Geely – the Monjaro crossover and the Preface sedan.

In the third quarter, Russians will see the Sollers frame SUV. The release of the new product will be carried out by the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant, which is currently undergoing a major modernization: the stamping, welding, painting and assembly departments have undergone renovation.

The model will be based on the Chinese JAC T9 pickup truck. True, the SUV will have several differences from the original car: an original interior, as well as its own engine calibrations. In any case, fans of the off-road lifestyle are in for a very interesting premiere!

The Rox Adamas is a Chinese hybrid crossover from the Rox Motor brand, representing an updated (and more luxurious) version of the Rox 01 model. The company’s Russian distributor announced that the Adamas has received Vehicle Type Approval.

The main difference of the new product is the standard closed-type air suspension, which uses nitrogen. The hybrid installation is based on a 1.5-liter 152-horsepower turbo-four, which acts as a generator that powers a pair of electric motors with a return of 476 hp. and 740 Nm.

“Atom”

The four-meter-long Atom electric car will be equipped with a rear engine producing 204 hp. and a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 77 kWh. The power reserve will be up to 500 kilometers (WLTC). The project should be massive, the target audience is car sharing and taxi services.

The production of the new product developed by Russian engineers will be carried out by the capital’s Moskvich automobile plant. By the way, employees of the KamAZ company, which is one of the investors in the project, can already place a pre-order! But the price of the electric car is still unknown.
