Mid-spring with the long May holidays is traditionally accompanied by a lull in the automobile market. For those who are ready to go to a car showroom instead of barbecue, car companies have announced discounts. Details are in the material of Motor magazine.

KGM

Record discounts on the purchase of new cars as of early May 2026 were provided by the South Korean brand KGM (formerly SsangYong). In the case of the KGM Torres crossover, the discount reaches 800 thousand rubles when purchasing a car manufactured in 2024. For cars manufactured in 2025, a discount of 250-350 thousand rubles has been introduced, depending on the configuration. The KGM Rexton frame SUV is also sold at a discount of 400 thousand rubles for cars produced in 2024 and 100 thousand rubles if you choose a car produced in 2025.

A direct discount of 100 thousand rubles is available to buyers of a number of GAC models. Additional benefits of up to 300 thousand rubles are promised when you trade-in your old car. This automaker is ready to concede another 100 thousand rubles when purchasing a second car for the family: to receive this discount, you need to buy a second GAC car no later than a year after purchasing the first.

Discounts provided under this scheme are relevant for the GAC Aion V electric car, the GAC S7 sequential hybrid, as well as several gasoline models – the GS4 and GS8 crossovers, the M8 minivan and the Empow sedan.

The Chinese automaker did not provide direct discounts on its bestsellers Jolion and M6, but in the case of less popular models, the company has seriously increased its price. In particular, when purchasing Haval H5, H7 and H9, there is a discount of 100 thousand rubles. You can get the same amount for a GWM Poer pickup.

A benefit of 200 thousand for “trade-in” is promised to buyers of the new Haval H3, as well as H7. In the second case, it is added to the direct discount.

Remains of Chery

Chinese automaker Chery is leaving the Russian market, selling off its remaining cars. And this must be kept in mind. Now the company is trying to encourage buyers to purchase the Arrizo 8 sedan by setting a discount of 116-276 thousand rubles. Chery dealers are ready to give up another 200-250 thousand rubles when returning an old car to offset the cost of a new one (“trade-in”).

Taking into account both proposals, the price of the sedan will be 2.5-2.8 million rubles. On the Russian market, Arrizo 8 is offered with a 1.6 turbo engine producing 150 hp. and a seven-speed “robot”. True, the concession applies only to two-year-old and last year’s cars. They didn’t even deliver cars made in 2026.

The automaker does not give direct discounts on crossovers of the Tiggo family, but offers them subject to trade-in of your car and a subsidized loan. When purchasing Chery Tiggo 9, the maximum amount of such benefit is stated at 600 thousand rubles, for Tiggo 8 Pro Max – 250 thousand rubles and Tiggo 7L – 100 thousand rubles.

Tenet

The Tenet brand is also trying to encourage buyers to hand over their cars using the “trade-in” system: the largest discount for this (250 thousand rubles) is promised when purchasing the Tenet T7 crossover. This model is the brand’s bestseller, accounting for half of all brand sales in the first quarter of 2026. Under the hood is a 150-horsepower 1.6 turbo engine, paired with a 7-speed robot.

For other models of the brand, the discounts are more modest: 50 thousand and 150 thousand rubles in the case of Tenet T4 and T8, respectively.

Geely and Belgee

Geely provides a symbolic direct discount of 40 thousand rubles only for the purchase of the Monjaro crossover in the maximum configuration. For other models of the Chinese brand, only benefits associated with handing over the old car to the dealer are claimed. Under this condition, a maximum discount of 300 thousand rubles is provided when purchasing an Okavango crossover.

For the Atlas crossover in the maximum configuration, the company will move up by 260 thousand rubles, for the Preface sedan – by 250 thousand rubles, and for the Cityray crossover – 230 thousand rubles.

In the case of the Belgee brand, a direct discount of 150 thousand rubles and another 250 thousand rubles for “trade-in” are promised to buyers of the X50 crossover. There are no direct benefits for other models, but there are benefits for turning in a car to offset the cost of a new one: from 80 thousand rubles to 200 thousand rubles, depending on the model.

Domestic

AvtoVAZ offers direct discounts of 50-70 thousand rubles for Lada Granta Sport and Sportline cars, and promises benefits of up to 333 thousand rubles for the regular Granta through trade-in and lending with state support.

For UAZ Patriot, the maximum benefit when combining a state-subsidized loan and trade-in exceeds 300 thousand rubles.

Soueast and others

The Soueast brand, despite low sales, is in no hurry to give large discounts on cars. Its spring special offer comes down to a direct discount of 50 thousand rubles for the S07 crossover in one of the trim levels. Dealers are ready to concede up to a total of up to 300 thousand rubles on the terms of handing over the car for trade-in and obtaining a loan.

The VGV brand promises buyers of the U70 Plus and U75Pro crossovers a gasoline generator as a gift. At the same time, a towbar will also be installed free of charge on the younger model.
