Throughout its history, the Toyota Highlander has been a mid-size family crossover based on Toyota Camry units. The new generation of the model breaks the tradition: now the Highlander is a large electric car.

Dimensions have increased significantly: length – 5050 mm (+100 mm), width – 1989 mm (+59), wheelbase – 3050 mm (+200 mm). The new product is based on the electric version of the TNGA‑K platform.
