According to Carscoops, production has been established by Jiangsu Juncheng Vehicle Industry Co. in Jiangsu province. The bodies are produced for iconic classic cars for which original parts are no longer produced.
The company, located in the city of Baoying, uses CNC machines to make dies, which are then hand-finished by craftsmen. They are used to stamp parts for Toyota AE86, Ford Bronco, Datsun 240Z, Toyota Land Cruiser, and 1967 Ford Mustang.
One of the Ford Bronco bodies, made in China, has already come to the United States as part of a restomod (a modern remake of a classic), which was sold for $400 thousand.
The company’s immediate plans include launching the production of bodies for the Porsche 911 (964 generation) and the legendary Mercedes-Benz 300 SL “Gullwing” with its famous “gull wings”.
