Like almost every updated model, the 2026 GLE will receive redesigned optics. In the case of the crossover and its coupe version, the change will be very noticeable: in each headlight and lantern there will be three-pointed stars – the “calling card” of Mercedes-Benz. Photos of a test prototype of the GLE Coupé, covered with camouflage film, were published by Carscoops.
Each headlight of the updated Mercedes-Benz GLE will have two LED stars with three beams, and each lamp will have one. The stars are shaped differently at the back than at the front, like an outlined silhouette.

In addition to new optics, the GLE and its coupe-like version will get a new radiator grille and slightly modified bumpers. Current models have a three-spoke steering wheel, a wide central tunnel and a cluster with two 12.3-inch MBUX media system screens.

But the technology will most likely remain the same. The current GLE, updated only last year, is equipped with mild hybrids with a 48-volt system and an integrated starter-generator, as well as fourth-generation plug-in hybrids. The “top” AMG GLE 63 S with V8 produces 612 horsepower.
Mercedes-Benz promised to equip its new products with “star” headlights a year ago. Such optics debuted on the CLA concept and will appear on its production version, and then on the S-Class.
