He noted that negotiations on this subject are not underway, but the issue of returning the French auto giant to Russia is still relevant. First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov added that before that Renault will have to discuss the conditions to which the option was attached to the return ransom.
Chemezov noted that the theme of the return of Renault is not yet completed the stage. “It is necessary to return. If they agree to this, ”added the head of Rostec.
Manturov later specified that he did not know about Renault plans regarding the Russian market. He recalled that the option concluded in 2022 is valid until 2028, and a number of conditions are prescribed in it. So, Renault was supposed to maintain the supply of components and the digital control system. “Here AvtoVAZ will need to ask a question whether Renault has fulfilled its obligations,” said Deputy Prime Minister.
In addition, Renault will have to resolve the issue with the means that the state invested during its absence. According to AvtoVAZ, this is about 110 billion rubles.
