According to Izvestia, the corresponding bill in the near future may be submitted to the government. In addition, the authors of the initiative believe that in the country it is necessary to prohibit the sale of dangerous car plots for belts, the popularity of which over the past year has grown by almost a third.

The safety belt is the main means of protection for the driver and passengers during accidents. At the same time, on popular marketplaces there are in the free sale of plugs for locks that allow you to block the signals of information systems of cars about non -set belts. According to experts, only in the last year the sales of such devices in the country have grown by almost a third, reaching 300 thousand copies.

From January 1, 2025, a fine for an unhealthy seat belt was increased from a thousand to one and a half thousand rubles. Now, the initiators of the bill propose to increase the sanction to three thousand.

In September last year, Russia was going to tighten the punishment for using gadgets driving. Only navigation devices wanted to make an exception for which the use of hands is not required.
