The share of cars with automatic transmissions based on sales results in 2025 exceeded 74% of the market volume. Three quarters of “two-pedal” cars are a record figure, and the most popular car with an automatic transmission in Russia was the Haval Jolion crossover.
In 2025, 984 thousand cars with automatic transmissions were sold in Russia (including classic hydromechanical automatic transmissions, robotic gearboxes and CVTs). Almost half of this volume, more than 48%, was provided by five Chinese brands.
In first place is Haval, which sold 155.6 thousand cars with automatic transmission in Russia in 2025. It is followed by the brands Geely, Chery and Belgee. They sold 93.1 thousand, 91.5 thousand and 68.1 thousand cars with automatic transmission, respectively. The Belarusian brand is followed by the Chinese Changan, which sold 66.2 thousand cars with automatic transmission in Russia over the year.
The best-selling car with an automatic transmission was the Haval Jolion with 61.1 thousand units. In second place is Lada Vesta, the top five also includes Belgee X50, Geely Monjaro, Changan Uni-S (formerly CS55 Plus).
