Russian taxi operators can lose about half of the drivers

Such a fear is associated with the new rules of car localization. This was announced by the analytical center under the Government of the Russian Federation, which published the results of a study of the influence of amendments on the localization of cars used in the taxi on the industry. In addition, experts believe that new amendments will lead to an inevitable increase in the cost of transportation.

If the bill on October 1 of this year, only domestic cars, received more than 3,200 localization points or produced in the framework of March 1, 2022 to March 1, 2025, will be able to work in a taxi.

In Russia, taxi drivers complained about the quality of Chinese machines and spare parts Sobyanin promised to transfer half of the Moscow taxi to the Avilon electric trim: taxi drivers in Russia will soon transfer to the same machines

New amendments will affect the number of taxi drivers. The costs of bringing existing fleets in accordance with the bill are far from a pocket. As a result, the industry may lose about half of the drivers working today. Experts believe that the loss of income will be up to 289 billion rubles.

To avoid extremely negative consequences, experts suggest expanding the range of cars available for taxi and include cars assembled in Russia until 2022. Other experts believe that the adoption of the law in the current edition will lead to an increase in the value of transportation by 2-3 times. In addition, amendments will provoke social tension in society, as well as the return of illegal drivers to the market.

In early May, experts predicted the future of Russian taxi drivers. The head of Avilon then said that there would be no alternatives for carriers, except for EVOLUTE electric shoes.
