The model, built on the modern modular EV+ platform, is offered in two trim levels starting at 5.7 million rubles, reports the GAC press service.
The new product is an all-wheel drive sequential hybrid. The power plant combines a 156-horsepower gasoline engine-generator, two electric motors and a traction battery with a capacity of 36.3 kWh. Peak power of the system reaches 340 horsepower, which allows the crossover to accelerate to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds. The claimed total range is 867 km (153 km of which is electric only), and fast charging the battery from 30 to 80% takes only 18 minutes.
Already in the initial version of the ST there are LED optics, 20-inch Michelin wheels, a panoramic roof, dual-zone climate control, front seats with electric drive, ventilation, heating and massage. Safety is provided by 10 airbags.
The top version SX Premium for 6 million rubles has door closers, a premium audio system with 21 speakers, massage for second-row seats, a head-up display and an automatic parking system.
The GAC S7 will be available in eight exterior colors, including two matte shades, and three interior options. The car is fully adapted for winter and is equipped with a heated windshield, injectors, all seats and steering wheel.
GAC calls the front optics of the S7 crossover “eyes” rather than headlights.
