The presentation of the Sollers SF5, the first Russian car in its class equipped as standard with an automatic transmission, will take place on June 16. Motor magazine was informed about this by the Sollers press service.

Sollers SF5 is an updated Sollers Atlant. It was previously reported that the 6-speed automatic transmission will be localized, and at first the transmission will be combined with a 150-horsepower 2.7-liter turbodiesel.

The vans are equipped with a telematics system, batteries, radiators, seats and glass made in Russia, and the bodies are welded from domestic galvanized steel.

Prior to this, GAZ showed a GAZelle with a robotic gearbox at the COMVEX exhibition in Moscow. As company representatives told the Motor portal, the decision to launch production will be made based on the reaction of visitors and demand from consumers – if the market needs such a car, GAZ is ready to mass-produce it.
