Specifications of the new Russian-assembled Haval H7 revealed

The Haval press service shared details about one of the most anticipated new products of 2025 – the H7 crossover, which will be offered in Russia, including in a hybrid version. The model, which is called the “second generation Dargo”, received Vehicle Type Approval at the end of 2024, and is expected to go on sale in the very near future. The H7 assembly is organized at the Haval plant in the Tula region.

Haval H7 is a 4.7-meter-long mid-size crossover with a monocoque body and basic front-wheel drive, built on the LEMON platform, the same one that underlies the Dargo familiar to Russians.

Under the hood of the petrol H7 there is a 2.0-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 192 horsepower, it works in conjunction with a seven-speed “robot”. All-wheel drive is implemented via an electronically controlled interaxle clutch. This crossover is promised a system for selecting driving modes with nine presets, including a special expert one, a rear differential lock and a system for maintaining a constant speed on the roads.

Russians will be offered three configurations: the list of equipment will include Yandex Auto services, voice control, a head-up display, wireless smartphone connection, a 14.6-inch multimedia screen, all-round cameras, electronic driver assistants, an audio system with nine speakers and a subwoofer, as well as telematics services for remote control, six airbags and a number of other options.

Sales of one Haval Haval H5 model have ended in Russia: a new giant frame SUV with a diesel engine and part-time Haval has priced crossovers produced in 2025 in rubles: they are more expensive

Sales will start in the first half of 2025. It is expected that the H7 will be slightly more expensive than the Dargo, which as of mid-January costs from 3.15 to 3.65 million rubles. Probably, the prices for the H7 will be as follows: from 3.2 to 4.5 million rubles. The official price lists will be declassified closer to the launch.

Later, the gasoline version may be joined by a hybrid, which is driven by a unit based on a 1.5-liter internal combustion engine. The latter can operate in both parallel and sequential mode, consuming “according to the passport” 1.8 liters per 100 kilometers.
