Taxi drivers will be fined for ignorance of the geography of Moscow and the Moscow Region, as well as the rules for the carriage of baggage

According to Kommersant, for carriers who have not passed the exam, they will provide fines in the amount of five thousand rubles. The punishment will be introduced through amendments to the Regional Code of Administrative Offenses. To do this, it will appear in it an article on “violation of the requirements for a passenger taxi driver”.

Mandatory certification of taxi drivers has been operating in Moscow and the Moscow region since March 1, 2025. As part of the exam, drivers must correctly answer ten questions. Carriers should know the geography of the capital, the rules for transporting customer baggage, as well as the location of the main attractions, hospitals, stadiums, schools, stations and government buildings.
