Due to summer restrictions on fuel sales, drivers are advised to save gas by accelerating smoothly, keeping an eye on their tires, not carrying too much, and filling up on time. Gazeta.Ru was told about this by the press service of the Avtospettsentr group of companies.
“In the summer of 2026, many gas stations in Russia will have temporary restrictions on the sale of fuel. Preparing for a long trip requires careful planning of the route and taking into account current market conditions,” the press service noted.
The dealer recommends accelerating and braking smoothly, and on the highway, if possible, maintaining a constant speed – this allows you to reduce gasoline consumption by 15-20%. Cruise control helps maintain a stable mode. Before leaving, experts advise checking the tire pressure and emptying the car of excess cargo, including the roof rack. In addition, you should not wait until the fuel drops below half the tank – it is better to refuel in advance.
