A resident of Belarus restored a 1979 Porsche 924. As AV notes, the motorist literally built the car anew from what he could find in Belarus, Europe, Russia and the USA.
The first 3 years were spent collecting as many parts as possible, sorting what was collected, and also making a list of what was missing. At the same time, we had to obtain literature, diagrams and other information.
“People often tell me that I probably enjoy making cars more than driving them. And there is truth in this. I really like the process of reviving technology,” notes the author of the project.
At the same time, the restoration process was carried out as meticulously as possible: with a search for original parts, careful selection of colors and taking into account all design nuances.
About 50 thousand Belarusian rubles (1.4 million Russian rubles) were spent on the purchase of spare parts. As for the cost of the work, the owner of the car did the restoration himself.
