At the Nio event in Guangzhou, the price list of the flagship model ET9 was revealed. The starting price was 18% lower than expected: you can buy a super sedan for 660 thousand yuan ($90.5 thousand). The limited special version First Edition will cost 788 thousand yuan ($108 thousand). Prices include battery rental; the battery costs an “extra” 30 thousand yuan (four thousand $).
Great Chinese price: cool cars from China
The presentation of Nio ET9 took place a year ago, and the electric car has not changed on the way to the series, except that there is more information about the features of equipment and characteristics. The technological “trick” is the possibility of monthly battery rental, so the buyer does not waste time on charging, but changes the battery at special stations, and even saves on the starting price.

Nio marketers call the ET9 a sedan, but given the height (1620 mm) and silhouette, it is more like a raised liftback. But the length corresponds to the executive class: between the axles 3250 mm, and from bumper to bumper 5324 mm. An innovative battery with a capacity of 120 kilowatt-hours with support for a 900-volt system and ultra-fast 5C charging for 255 kilometers in five minutes is installed as standard.
The pride of Nio is the active electro-hydraulic suspension, which allows you to raise/lower the body in a range of ten centimeters in just a couple of seconds. The adjustment speed reaches 1000 operations per second. There are videos online that demonstrate the ET9’s outstanding ride quality on poor roads compared to the Mercedes-Maybach Z223.

At the start of sales, there will be de facto two trim levels, both with a three-engine 707-horsepower all-wheel drive power plant. Acceleration from 0-100 for a sedan with a curb weight of 2.7 tons will take 4.3 seconds.
