The most heavy-duty tow truck in Russia has been handed over to the Leningrad Regional Environmental Police. The special equipment created by the Kuzovostroitel company is designed on the four-axle KamAZ-65951 chassis, the KamAZ press service reports.
The company clarifies that the vehicle is equipped with a KamAZ R6 diesel engine with a power of 483 hp. and a 16-speed manual transmission. The new product is capable of towing loads weighing up to 60 tons.
The 8×4 wheel arrangement provides high cross-country ability. The lifting capacity of the main boom is 50 tons, the hydraulic lifting capacity is 30 tons, and the lifting capacity at maximum reach is 10 tons.
The extended chassis was loaded with ballast weighing 7.5 tons. This made it possible to shift the center of gravity forward, increase the stability of the machine and ensure safe operation when evacuating heavy equipment.
