This statement regarding a significant technological breakthrough in the automotive industry was made by Li Xueyong, who holds the post of executive vice president of Chery Automobile, CarNewsChina reports.
EMB technology, which will debut in the new Exeed EX7, will abandon the usual hydraulics: the brakes will be activated directly by electrical signals. This not only simplifies the design, but also increases the deceleration efficiency. The system is expected to significantly reduce stopping distances, which is critical for safety in emergency situations.
In addition, the EMB system will work in conjunction with the updated Chery Flying Fish Chassis 3.0. Thanks to this combination, Exeed EX7 will receive advanced intelligent functions that will make control more predictable and safer – both in city traffic and on country roads.
The Exeed EX7 will be offered with two hybrid powertrain options. Batteries with a capacity of 39.816 kWh and 39.9168 kWh will provide an electric range of 182 km and 203 km, respectively. For those who need maximum range, there is an all-electric version with a 97.682 kWh battery. Depending on the configuration, the power reserve will range from 682 to 726 km.
