The company Lynk & Co shared pictures of the new product with the index L946. Under this internal factory code lies a flagship with a three-row interior and a previously unseen electrified platform. You can expect the crossover to exceed five meters in length, and the only option will be a rechargeable hybrid. The presentation is scheduled for January 3, 2025, sales will not be delayed.
Lynk&Co 09 – XC90 for the digital and young
Judging by the official photos, Lynk & Co L946 will play in the same category as Li Auto L9, Denza N9 and AITO M9, that is, we are talking about a car with a length of about 5.2 meters. Probably, the gasoline engine will not be connected to the wheels, that is, we are talking about a “stroke extender.” This explains the phrase about the new platform: previous Lynk & Co models were based on Volvo architecture.

There are no radical design changes planned: the prototypes retained the two-tier optics with Y-shaped daytime running lights. Retractable door handles, lidar on the roof, and a full-width LED strip from the rear have long become the norm for Chinese cars. It is expected that the L946 will have a sibling under the Zeekr brand: Volvo’s thirty percent share in Lynk & Co has been sold to this Geely subsidiary.

More details will be announced on January 3, 2025. In the first quarter, Lynk & Co L946 is awaiting certification, and then the model will enter the Chinese market. Export sales are also very likely, because there are few crossovers of this format abroad.
