The company JSC MB RUS, acting as the exclusive distributor of the Forland brand on the Russian market, has begun adapting the updated 12-ton truck model Forland 12. As part of the process, a reinforced frame and modified suspension will be introduced so that the vehicle can confidently withstand increased loads and difficult road conditions.

As the distributor’s press service notes, the new product features an optimized curb weight. With an indicator of 4030−4210 kg, the total weight reaches 11,990 kg.

Thanks to the indicator “11,990”, it is not subject to the Platon system, which charges a fee for freight vehicles with a maximum permissible weight over 12 tons.

The Forland 12 is powered by a 4.5-liter Cummins diesel engine (760 Nm), which is paired with an 8-speed gearbox – this combination provides a balance between acceleration dynamics and fuel efficiency.

Earlier it became known that a complex for searching for contraband was built from a KamAZ truck: a special superstructure will help customs officers find undeclared goods.
