The Ineos Quartermaster pickup truck has become an overlander for Australians

The company’s first special project was named Kaiju and its goal was to demonstrate the possibilities of customization. The vehicle is outfitted with locally sourced accessories, from a Norweld camper with refrigerator and jerry can mount to a set of GME radios.

Ineos presented the first special project in its history – Kaiju Quartermaster. The SUV will entice Australian buyers, and even its name emphasizes not so much power as Aussie’s love for Japanese four-wheel drive vehicles. Made by Kaiju in the style of a classic overlander. In addition, the car received an additional Brown Davis tank of 168 liters, auxiliary lighting equipment and JMACX shock absorbers with 16 stages of adjustment, built-in bumpers and bodies with a polymer-ceramic coating. The power supply is provided by a system based on REDARC components, and communications are provided by a set of GME radios and an amplified whip antenna.

The Kaiju Quartermaster has full drive, with a two-stage transfer case, center lock and cross-axle differentials. The wheels are wrapped in BFGoodrich KM3 Mud Terrain tires. The overlander also has a snorkel, an additional battery and a compass with an altimeter. The engine range includes three-liter in-line sixes from BMW. The petrol B58 develops 286 forces and 420 Nm of torque, the diesel B57 – 249 forces and 550 Nm. There is only one gearbox – an eight-speed ZF automatic with a reinforced torque converter and manual mode.
