The company published a teaser image, which shows only part of the rear of the car with a massive carbon spoiler and updated lights. In an accompanying statement, Lamborghini hints that the model will embody “cutting-edge innovation and pure adrenaline,” opening a “new chapter” in the model’s history, Carscoops reports.
Although official details are kept under wraps for now, spy photos and leaks provide a clear picture of the new product. The main change is under the hood: the naturally aspirated V8 is a thing of the past. The new Urus Performante will feature a plug-in hybrid powertrain (PHEV) similar to the one that debuted on the Urus SE.
The hybrid system, combining a 4.0-liter V8 with an electric motor and a 25.9 kWh battery, is expected to produce more than 800 hp, which is significantly superior to its predecessor.
To compensate for the inevitable increase in weight due to hybrid components, the new product will receive a lot of carbon fiber. As in the previous generation, the use of this material will reduce the weight of the car (previously the savings were 47 kg), which should have a positive effect on dynamics and handling. Externally, the model will be distinguished by an aggressive aerodynamic body kit, a new bumper and a redesigned daytime running lights.
Full information about technical characteristics, overclocking dynamics and cost will be disclosed during the official online presentation on July 1, 2026.
