The new Audi RS 7 will be a super hybrid with a V6 engine

Car magazine found out that the third generation of the model will appear in 2025 and will retain the gasoline engine. According to insiders, the basis will be the PPC platform, familiar from the current Audi A5 family. The mild hybrid with a V8 will be replaced by a plug-in hybrid with a V6; output will increase from the current 630 to 725 horsepower. In Boost mode, power can be briefly increased by another 50 horsepower.

Currently, the Audi RS 7 is available in a Performance version with output of 630 horsepower and 850 Nm. The new liftback will also have such a design, but not immediately: such a five-door is expected to develop about 800 horsepower. Also, the Audi RS 7 is expected to have an active suspension from the e-tron GT, so that the heavy car does not lose control.

In parallel with the RS 7, the RS 6 e-tron will be produced, but there will be no trace of the former commonality in technology. The basis will be an 800-volt electrical system with fast charging function, and the power will be at least 630 horsepower and 1125 Nm. The Audi RS 6 e-tron will probably be shown even earlier.
