In the State Duma, a document is prepared for the second reading, which will increase fines for car owners and motorcycles with a loud exhaust. According to the project, the minimum recovery will be 5 thousand rubles, and in the case of powerful engines, the amount can grow up to 30 thousand. The initiators believe that the current measure of 500 rubles is ineffective, and advocate more serious financial liability.
The State Duma considers the initiative to tighten the punishment for excessive noise from vehicles. According to the Deputy Chairman of the Construction Committee, Sergei Kolunov, at least a tenfold increase in the current fine is proposed within the framework of the bill. We are talking about car owners and motorcycles, including equipped with emergency exhaust systems. The document has already passed the first reading in the summer of 2023 and is currently being finalized for the second.
Owners of noisy cars in Russia were offered to deprive of rights, it became known where in Moscow they would be fine for noisy cars with the noisy cars in Germany became Lada
The deputy explained that excessively noisy vehicles have become a real problem, especially at night. The current penalty of 500 rubles does not have the proper restraint, so the new version of the law provides for more stringent measures. The minimum recovery amount will be 5 thousand rubles, while it can increase depending on the engine power: 250 rubles for every 10 horsepower more than the established threshold. The maximum amount of the fine is planned to be limited at the level of 30 thousand rubles.
Earlier, the Moscow authorities proposed introducing automated control over the noise level of transport. In the city, cameras with noise meters may appear that record excesses in remote mode without calling owners to the court. In addition to imposing fines, the possibility of confiscation of cars and motorcycles that violate the norms is discussed. The bill has already been sent to the State Duma and can become the basis for expanding digital control in other areas, in addition to road traffic.
