The production of special mastics for the automotive industry was launched in the Samara region

The Togliatti enterprise “Polad” organized the production of automotive mastics and adhesives – these materials are used in the production of cars of the brands Lada, UAZ, GAZ and others. Every year it is planned to produce up to 1.5 thousand tons of mastics and up to 80 tons of adhesives.

As Motor magazine learned, the auto industry now uses automotive mastics and adhesives that are shipped by Russian suppliers, but controlled from Switzerland and Germany – they account for 70% of the market.

These products are used to fasten automotive parts, increase tightness, improve sound insulation, and also protect body welds from the harmful effects of chemicals.

The total investment amounted to about 184 million rubles. Of this, approximately 136 million rubles were provided by the Federal Industrial Development Fund (IDF) under the special Automotive Components program.
