Xiaomi has unveiled an updated version of its first electric car, the 2026 SU7 sedan. The main innovations were the transition to a new high-voltage electrical architecture, an increase in the power reserve and the setting of a world record for a 24-hour marathon. Autoreview reports this.
Externally, the new product is distinguished by a new blue body color, updated 20-inch wheels and small decor. The Midnight Black trim option has been added to the interior. Technical improvements include a new powerful processor and lidar in the basic version of the autonomous driving system.
The main changes are hidden under the hood. The base and Pro versions switched from 400-volt to 752-volt architecture. The power of the rear motor has been increased to 320 hp, and the range has increased: up to 720 km for the base model and up to 902 km for the Pro. The flagship version of the Max received an 897-volt system and an output of 691 hp. Its range is 835 km, and it takes 15 minutes to recharge for 670 km.
It was the SU7 Max version that set a new world record for production electric vehicles, covering 4,264 km in 24 hours on the track in Yancheng (China). During the race, the car maintained a speed of 240 km/h, stopping only to charge.
