The world’s first minivan with a roll cage has been unveiled in China.

Sales of the model on the Chinese market will start in the second quarter of 2026. The car is declared as the flagship of the model range.

The monolithic integrated body safety cage is designed to provide increased protection for passengers. The second key element of the car is the magnetorheological adaptive suspension. The system adjusts the stiffness of the shock absorbers using a magnetic field, reacting to road irregularities up to 1000 times per second. This is 10-30 times faster than traditional pneumatic or hydraulic systems, allowing you to instantly adapt to changing road conditions.

The minivan is built on an extra-long wheelbase (3200 mm), which, with overall dimensions of 5300x1980x1850 mm, provides a spacious seven-seater interior. The curb weight of the car is 2580 kg, and the total weight is 3135 kg.

The Wendao V9 features a hybrid extended range electric vehicle (EREV). It is based on a 1.5T petrol turbo engine with a power of 118 kW (158 hp), which acts as a generator, and an electric motor with a power of 227 kW (304 hp), driving the wheels. The battery is lithium iron phosphate (LFP).

The officially declared total range is a record 1.5 thousand kilometers, but the exact capacity of the battery has not yet been disclosed. The maximum speed of the car is 190 km/h.

It was previously reported that UAZ is testing new diesel models in extreme conditions.
