There were new details about the UAZ Patriot with the Chinese diesel engine

They were shared by the Izvestia newspaper, the correspondent of which managed to conduct a short test drive of the prototype of the new version of the SUV. This is a modification with a bunch of a Chinese JAC turbodiesel with a volume of 2.0 liters produced in Russia and a six -speed manual gearbox production of the Zavolzhsky motor plant (ZMZ). In UAZ itself, it is hoped that the diesel “patriot” will account for 15-20 percent of the sales of the model.

The author gives the power and torque of the new engine for the “patriot”: 136 horsepower and 320 nm. For comparison: on commercial Sollers models, he gives out 130 forces. Of the features, he mentions a “short” first gear calculated for trucks with full load, and notes that a lighter SUV with such a ligament seems “too sharp”. It does not exclude that the characteristics of the power unit can still be adjusted.

There is no information about the cost of an SUV with a Chinese turbodiesel yet, but UAZ states that they will set such a price that it has 15-20 percent in the total sales.

Currently, UAZ Patriot is offered with a non -alternative gasoline engine 2.7, which outstand 150 forces, combined with a five -stage “mechanics”. The box was recently improved: they reduced the inner pressure, eliminated oil leaks and, in general, increased reliability. The advanced “mechanics” are intended to be embedded in production at the beginning of this year.
