The premiere of the new model of the “green” iCar line will take place in China in a week – on December 16. In the meantime, CarNewsChina is sharing details about the new product, which has a chance of reaching us. Now the electric SUV with a brutal retro design appears under the name iCar V23 and is already available for pre-order at a price of 110 to 150 thousand yuan (1.5-2 million rubles at today’s exchange rate).
V23 was developed by Chery together with IT giant Xiaomi. This is a relatively compact (only 4.2 meters long) car with 212 mm ground clearance: its approach and departure angles are 43 and 35 degrees, respectively.
In China, there are two modifications to choose from: with mono-drive and one electric motor on the rear axle, producing 136 horsepower, and all-wheel drive and two electric motors (211 horsepower). In the first case, the capacity of the lithium iron phosphate battery is 60 kilowatt-hours, and in the second case, the battery is already lithium-ion and has a capacity of 82 kilowatt-hours. The power reserve is 401 and 501 kilometers, respectively.

Inside, the crossover has a huge 15.4-inch touchscreen with a 2.5K resolution, a Snapdragon 8155 processor, large analog pucks and buttons. The salon is designed for four people, the trunk door swings open to the side, like a frame SUV, and the all-wheel drive version has 21-inch wheels.

Earlier it was reported that Chery is considering the possibility of launching sales of electric cars of the iCar line in Russia in 2025 under the Jaecoo brand. However, after the recycling fee increases, the company’s plans for electric cars may be adjusted.
