Three GAC models will be assembled in Russia

The Chinese company will establish production at the Hyundai ex-star in St. Petersburg, where Solaris cars are now being produced. According to Chinese cars, the GAC already draws up approval of the type of vehicle (OTTS) for three models of the Russian assembly – GS3 and GS8 crossovers, as well as M8 minivan.

GAC GS3 appeared on the Russian market about a year ago. The 4.4-meter crossover is offered with a 1.5-liter engine with a capacity of 150 horsepower (250 nm of torque) and a seven-speed “robot”. The price for the GS3 of Chinese production starts with 2,449,000 rubles.

GS8 is the flagship of the GAC, which has been taken to Russia for two years. The crossover is almost five meters long (and in the new GS8 Dragon version – more than five) is equipped with a 2.0 for 231 forces and 380 nm engine in combination with a machine gun and all -wheel drive. Price without discounts – from 4 099,000 rubles.

The third model, which will “spell” at the St. Petersburg plant, is the M8, sold in the Russian Federation since February 2024. A minivan 5.2 meters long is equipped with the same “technique” as the GS8, but the drive can be exclusively front. It costs M8 from 5 499 999 rubles.

In mid -June, the GAC raised the cost of the GS8 in the “adventure” performance of the GX Traveller, which is characterized by expanded equipment and a little design. Cross has risen in price by 50 thousand and is now estimated at 4,999,000 rubles.
