Topspeed named the 10 most reliable family crossovers

These models offer room for passengers and luggage, easy access, intuitive technology and, most importantly, reliability every day. The assessment is based on surveys of real owners (number of defects, malfunctions, breakdowns per 100 cars). The fewer problems the owners have, the higher the score.

The leader of the rating with 85 points out of 100 was the Chevrolet Blazer, which has no recall campaigns and average annual maintenance costs of only $431.

Second place with the same number of points went to the Kia Telluride, which has outgrown typical “childhood illnesses”, although it has three reviews. The Hyundai Palisade closes the top three with 84 points.

The top five also included the Nissan Pathfinder (84 points), whose reliability increased after switching from a CVT to a classic automatic in 2022, and the Chevrolet Traverse (83 points) after a 2024 redesign.

Sixth place was taken by the Dodge Durango (83 points), but its maintenance over 10 years turned out to be the most expensive in the ranking – $11.4 thousand. Next are the Toyota Grand Highlander (82 points, two recall campaigns), Honda Passport (82 points) with the lowest cost of annual maintenance ($371), and the time-tested Toyota Highlander (82 points). Subaru Outback closes the top ten (81 points).
