In the next four years, buyers can expect electrification, the return of legendary names and completely new technologies, Topspeed reports.

Alfa Romeo has postponed the premiere of the new generations of Stelvio and Giulia to 2028 due to a strategic restructuring. Contrary to early statements, the models will not become fully electric – the company will retain internal combustion engines. Both new products will be built on the STLA Large Longitudinal platform, with the Quadrifoglio versions returning, Topspeed reports.

Audi has confirmed the release of the new RS5 in 2027. This will be the first plug-in hybrid in the history of the RS series: the 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 produces 630 hp. and 824 Nm of torque paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The electric range is about 84 km, the starting price is about $125 thousand. In addition, Audi is working on an electric two-seat roadster, the Concept C, a spiritual successor to the TT.

BMW will release the iX3 in 2026, the first production car based on the “Neue Klasse” architecture. The electric crossover offers up to 644 km of range and charges from 10% to 80% in 21 minutes. The xDrive50 all-wheel drive version produces 463 hp, the price starts from $60 thousand. The 2027 flagship 7 Series received a panoramic iDrive system, an 8K cinema for rear passengers and a Bowers & Wilkins audio system with 36 speakers. Price – from $99.8 thousand. And the 2028 X5 will be unique: BMW will produce it with five types of power plants – all-electric, plug-in hybrid, gasoline, diesel and hydrogen. The first to be released is the hydrogen iX5, created in collaboration with Toyota.

Cadillac has confirmed the release of the second generation of the XT5 crossover. Production will begin at a plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee. The car will receive a hybrid powertrain and should compete with the segment leader Lexus RX.

Chevrolet is preparing the 2027 Corvette Grand Sport. The basic version will receive a 535-horsepower 6.7 LS6 engine, and the Grand Sport X version will have a front electric motor and battery from the ZR1X. Power will be 721 hp.

Another new product is the 2027 Chevrolet Bolt. The affordable electric car will have a range of 410 km and charges from 10% to 80% in 26 minutes. For the first time, there will also be a sporty RS version.
