Toyota again entered the top ten leaders in sales of new cars in Russia

According to the results of the 22nd week of 2025, from May 26 to June 1, the country sold 416 new Toyota cars, which allowed the brand for the first time since October last year to return to the top 10 of the Russian market. The total sales of new cars for the reporting period amounted to 23.7 thousand units – this is nine percent more than a week earlier, but twenty -eight percent less than the same period of 2024.

According to the Avtostat agency, for the 22nd week of 2025, 416 new Toyota cars were sold in Russia. This provided the Japanese brand return to the ten most popular in the market – the last time Toyota was included in this list in the fall of 2024. While the company’s cars are not officially delivered to the country, their sales are maintained due to parallel imports and warehouses.

The leader of the weekly rating was LADA, which realized 6613 new cars. The Chinese stamps follow: Haval (2650 cars), Chery (2390), Geely (1720) and Changan (1651). The rest of the brands included in the top 10 sold less than one thousand cars. The list also included Belgee (939), Jetour (859), Omoda (601), Solaris (494) and the already mentioned Toyota (416). The total sales of new cars over the week reached 23.7 thousand units.

At the same time, sales of premium cars in the Russian market demonstrate a noticeable fall. According to the Avtostat report for April, the volume of the sale of machines of this segment decreased by 35 percent compared to the same month of last year and amounted to 10.2 thousand units. The share of premium models in the general structure of the market decreased to ten percent against 11.4 percent in April 2024.
