Toyota has announced a large-scale recall campaign that will affect 100 thousand cars. The 2006-2011 Toyota RAV4 crossovers, as well as the 2010 Lexus HS 250h hybrid sedans, will be sent for service. The event concerns the Canadian market, but previously a similar program was held in the United States.

When adjusting the angles of the rear wheels, which is often called “wheel alignment,” workshop workers may not tighten the lock nuts correctly.

A dangerous backlash in the threaded part may occur in the suspension arm, which can lead to corrosion. In this case, the thread wears out intensively, and as a result the lever loses its funding.

Now mechanics from authorized service centers will have to examine the cars for faults, and if any are found, replace the levers.
