The construction of the first stage of the city of Woven City has ended – it is a “smart” city in the prefecture of Sizuoku at the foot of Mount Fuji, which Toyota has been building for five years. The “woven city”, which will eventually take an area of 700 thousand square meters, is erected for testing autonomous machines. Toyota plans to use the gained experience in her cars.
The area of the first stage shown by Japanese journalists is 47 thousand square meters. It has 14 buildings, including residential buildings, energy facilities and a scientific and technical center.
