Toyota showed part of its “city of the future”

The construction of the first stage of the city of Woven City has ended – it is a “smart” city in the prefecture of Sizuoku at the foot of Mount Fuji, which Toyota has been building for five years. The “woven city”, which will eventually take an area of ​​700 thousand square meters, is erected for testing autonomous machines. Toyota plans to use the gained experience in her cars.

The area of ​​the first stage shown by Japanese journalists is 47 thousand square meters. It has 14 buildings, including residential buildings, energy facilities and a scientific and technical center.
