The “woven city”, which was built by specialists from the Japanese automaker over the course of five years, is located at the foot of Mount Fuji. At the first stage, only one hundred brand employees will settle in the city. After construction is completed, about two thousand residents will live on the territory. Specialists from the Danish company Bjarke Ingels Group are responsible for the architecture of the innovative city.

Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda said that builders have now completed the first phase of houses, the occupancy of which will begin in the fall of this year. First, one hundred people will move to new houses, including company employees and members of their families.
