In January, the car factory celebrates the birthday of the legendary family, and the publication of the official sketches of the first half of the 1990s was timed to this event. The author of the sketches is the full -time designer of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant Igor Davydov, most of the drawings were made in 1995, but have not yet been lit up. Since 1957, I have never waited neither a change in generations, nor radial outfits of the UAZ-450 “Bukhanka”.
How and what UAZ tried to replace the loaf
The green light to the UAZ-450 project was given on January 16, 1957, and a year later the first serial all-terrain vehicle of the wagon layout left the assembly line. And although the “loaf” has changed in the details, the design remains unchanged for almost seven decades. However, at the Ulyanovsk Automobile plant they thought about alternatives: judging by the published sketches, they considered the option with a slight update of decor, bumpers, rear -view mirrors and moldings, and deep restyling with the replacement of the bow of the body, and even a completely different layout.

Alas, the Simba’s biashinest minivans remained only in the Museum of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant, and even on the modest upgrade of the appearance of the “Bukhanka” did not dare. The family is still produced in full force: there are “tadpoles”, cargo -passenger vans, minibuses, and special vehicles. Without taking into account the superstructures and “dopes” of UAZs of the old cargo series (SGR), from 1,520,000 to 1,610,000 rubles are worth.
